Change versus familiarity

Change versus familiarity

I saw a cartoon pinned to the noticeboard at the counselling service where I work and at first it just amused me. Then it struck me how true it is and how much we tend to cling to old behaviours that are safe and familiar – and then we’re surprised when things stay the same. Reminded me of a quote I used to have on my wall years ago:

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”

Anyway, see the cartoon below (anyone know of a reference (other than it just being Peanuts), please let me know).
