What is change?
Change can be difficult to define, and identifying what needs changing or how to change, can be even harder.
Counselling gives you a place to explore where you are now and where you might want to go, in a safe and confidential space, free from judgement. Reiki can provide a haven of calm and contemplation, an opportunity to let your mind rest and be at peace. This can enable your thoughts to clarify themselves, or it can just be a time to give yourself mental nourishment and you-time.
The poem below is a good description of what change is and how it can come about.
Autobiography in five short chapters

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in
I am lost…I am helpless
It isn’t my fault.
It takes me forever to find a way out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place.
But it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in…it’s a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
