My Training
My training and experience
I hold a BSc in Psychology from Manchester University, specialising in the psychology of love, social communication via the Internet, and work-related stress. During this time I also obtained training and experience of working with neurodivergence.
I am a UK accredited Gestalt Counsellor and trained at the Gestalt Centre in London. I am also a qualified clinical supervisor, having trained with The Counselling Tutor in 2025. I have additionally worked with individual and group peer supervision since 2020. My training allows me to work across modalities, and with a range of practitioners.
I have obtained additional training and experience in:
- Anger, leading to violence, depression or lack of direction
- Neurodivergence including ADHD, autism, PDA, dyslexia and giftedness
- British Boarding School Syndrome
- Gender, sexual or relationship diversity
- Women and mental health, including the impact and experience of menopause
- Difficulties with the twin relationship dynamic – of which I also have lived experience
I am experienced and fully trained in different ways of working such as:
- Email and SMS counselling
- Video and telephone counselling
- Outdoor/nature or ‘walk and talk’ therapy
- Meditation, visualisation and mindfulness practices
- Therapeutic writing such as journalling and freefall writing, and other creative practices
I have previously worked as a trainer and facilitator around mental health issues. I am also a Reiki Master Level 3, trained in London (Levels 1 and 2) and Hong Kong (Level 3). I was attuned to Reiki Master level in Hong Kong by Pervin Clasper in Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Natural Healing.
